Catechists & Adult Volunteers

Who are catechists? They are people who keep the memory of God alive; they keep it alive in themselves and they are able to revive it in others. This is something beautiful.  – Pope Francis

You have a gift to give. We depend on our catechists, volunteers, Core Team members, and Confirmation Team members to help us reach and support all of the students in our faith formation program. Sharing just an hour of your time or several over the course of the year is a gift to our children and to yourself. Our faith shines brighter when it is shared!

CATECHISTS

Join the special team of individuals who minister to our parish children from pre-k through grade 10. You don’t need to be an expert on scripture, have teaching experience, or even have a lot of time. All you need is a love for your faith and desire to share of yourself.  Our catechists work in teams to share the responsibility and balance out each other’s strengths. Ask a friend to join with you to share a wonderful new experience together and make a difference in the lives of children.

Catechist guides and lesson plans are provided for all classes, and workshop meetings are planned monthly. We will support you in any way that we can as you grow in your own faith and play such a crucial role in the lives of our parish children. We will try to work around your schedule and availability.

VOLUNTEERS

In addition to being a catechist, there are so many other ways you can minister to our parish children and support their formation in the faith: class assistant, general volunteer, youth ministry volunteer, mentor, prayer partner, craft or hobby facilitator, etc.

Family members of any age over 18 are welcome!  Share a story, volunteer an hour or a day, teach or assist a class, mentor a teen, bake cookies, pray! There are so many ways we can do this together – sharing and growing in our faith.
