K-8 Registration

Families with children in Grades K-8 will attend a two sessions a month:

Family Masses (1st weekend of every month)

Grade K-4 will attend Children's Liturgy of the Word during any of the weekend Masses.

Grade 4-8 will attend a 15 minute Teen Bible Chat during Coffee+ following any of the weekend Masses at either Church.

There will be a Tuesday evening "Make-up" for Children who miss or attend Mass outside of the Parish. (5:00pm - 6:00pm at St. Therese)



Family Faith Formation Sessions (3rd or 4th Sunday of Every Month on Calendar)


SESSION A
Sundays, St. Therese Church, 7:30AM-10:00AM (Mass included 9AM)

SESSION B
Sundays, St. Therese Church, 9:00AM-11:30AM (Mass included 9AM)

SESSION C
Sundays, St. Therese Church, 4pm-5:30PM (Class session with Mass slip submitted from any other Mass attended on on your own)

Note: make-up classes are offered on Tuesday evenings from 5-6:30pm at St Therese following the Sunday Sessions for Students who were absent. Mass Slips from any other weekend attended must be submitted.

At least one parent/guardian MUST attend with the child(ren); grandparents or other relatives are welcome to substitute for parent or join too!

Families will have the flexibility to choose to attend any of the 4 Family Masses and 3 Sunday Sessions that best fit their schedule month to month. Please register for the session you are most likely to attend - at least through the fall months - so that we can plan accordingly with rough numbers per session. Thank you!

In the Adult section below, "Number of Adults" means the anticipated number that would attend on any given session day.

Though at least one adult is required to attend with each child (parent, grandparent, godparent, etc.), we welcome all/any family members to our sessions. Please include them in your anticipated number indicated below, so that we can accurately plan for seating.

If multiple adults are going to rotate who attends with their child, but only attend one at a time, then you would choose "1" for number of adults and list out the multiple names underneath.

If multiple adults are going to come to EACH session, then you would choose that number from the drop-down in addition to listing out the multiple names.

Confirmation Prep (Gr 9-10) Registration

TEENS IN GRADE 9 (or any teen entering the Confirmation program) will attend a 2-hour Confirmation Prep session the first Sunday of every month and one of of the family Masses the first weekend of every month.

TEENS IN GRADE 10 or above, who have met all of the requirements for the Year 1 Confirmation Prep program, will be invited to the Year 2 Confirmation program in order to receive the sacrament of Confirmation in the spring. They will attend a 2 hour session on the first Sunday of every month.

*Note: Incoming Year 2 students for the 2024-25 year will be admitted as long as they have submitted their Faith Checks, Sponsor Interviews, and Saint Paragraphs on Google Classroom before the September class.

Sundays, St. Mary Church, 5:00PM-7:00PM

YEAR 2 / Generally GRADE 10
Sundays, St. Mary Church, 6:30PM-8:30 PM

Program Fee

Please pay the Program Fee online at www.osvhub.com/saintjohnboscobranford/funds/faith-formation, or by cash or check (payable to St. John Bosco Parish) that is mailed/dropped off to the Parish Office at 731 Main St, Branford.

Fees include all texts, materials, and sacrament costs.
The cost of lost books and materials will be charged to families.
